A MAN has been charged after two men were allegedly bottled in Bournemouth town centre.
Momodou Lamin Darboe, 23, will appear before Poole Magistrates’ Court today (May 1) following an incident in the Lower Gardens on Monday evening, April 29.
Police say two men – aged in their 30s and 40s – were assaulted with a glass bottle, causing facial injuries.
They were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be serious.
Officers attended and Darboe, of no fixed abode, was arrested in connection with the matter. During the incident, a police officer reportedly sustained a minor injury to their hand.
Darboe has been charged with two counts of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent as well as offences of assault by beating, assaulting an emergency worker and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
