THE following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:

CONCHOBAR THOMAS, 26 and of Hibberd Way in Bournemouth, admitted drug driving and driving whilst disqualified in Charminster Road, Bournemouth, on October 23, 2023. He also admitted possession of a controlled drug of Class A after being in possession of 3.9 grams of cocaine in Charminster Road, Bournemouth, on October 23, 2023. He was handed an 18 week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and disqualified from driving for three years. He was also ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a victim surcharge of £154.

DAVID FORD, 57 and of Weylands in Frome, admitted two counts of drug driving and a single count of driving without insurance in Turlin Road, Poole, on October 27, 2023. He also admitted possession of a controlled drug of Class A after being found in possession of cocaine in Turlin Road, Poole, on October 27, 2023. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months. He was also fined £180 and ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

BENJAMIN PEDLEY, 42 and of Dugdell Close in Ferndown, admitted driving a motor vehicle dangerously in Matchams Lane at Christchurch on August 28, 2023. He was handed a 20 week prison sentence suspended for 12 months, and disqualified from driving for two years. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

ANDREW PUGH, 61 and of Lewis Gardens in Bournemouth, admitted drink driving in Commercial Road in Bournemouth on February 3. He was disqualified from driving for 24 months. He was also fined £1200, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £480 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

RACHEL HEUSSI, 38 and of Holdenhurst Road in Bournemouth, admitted two counts of theft from a shop after stealing wine and lollipops to the value of £19.75 from the Co-op in Bournemouth on March 8 and stealing a bottle of wine to the value of £9.50 from the same store on September 14, 2023. She was ordered to pay compensation of £29.25.

DAVID STEVENSON, 50 and of no fixed address, admitted theft from a shop after stealing medicine to the value of £94.30 from the Co-op in Blandford Road in Poole on October 10, 2023. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

ALASTAIR SALMON, 43 and of Saxon Court in Wareham, admitted assault by beating after assaulting a woman in Wareham on June 18, 2023. He was handed a community order lasting until May 1, 2025. He was also ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a victim surcharge of £114.

ROBERT ARKWELL, 60 and of Gardens View in Bournemouth, admitted causing serious injury to a man by careless / inconsiderate driving in Corfe Mullen on November 13, 2023. He was handed a community order lasting until May 1, 2025, with a requirement to complete 100 hours of unpaid work, and was disqualified from driving for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a victim surcharge of £114.
