NEIGHBOURS of a Bournemouth home smelt burning before calling the fire brigade.
Emergency services were called to an empty home in Lytton Road on Sunday evening, May 5 by concerned residents.
Three fire engines rushed to the residential road, including crews from Springbourne, Westbourne and Redhill, to extinguish the blaze shortly before 7pm.
Firefighters had to break down a door to get into the home and found a fire on the ground floor of the property.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The first crews in attendance forced entry to the property and discovered a fire on the ground floor of the property.
“Crews managed to extinguish the fire using two breathing apparatus, hose reel jet and ventilated the property.
“Nobody was in the property at the time, so there were no injuries.”
