EMERGENCY services were called after a car crashed into a central reservation.

Fire crews from Poole and Westbourne attended the road traffic collision, involving an Audi A4, at 9.13pm on May 13.

Firefighters found the car on the central reservation on the A348 Mountbatten Roundabout.

Dorset Police were called to the scene in Wallisdown Road and helped to make the area safe.

Two occupants of the car were taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

The local authority was also made aware of debris on the road.

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews from Poole and Westbourne were called to the A348 Mountbatten Roundabout at 9.13pm yesterday evening following reports of a road traffic collision.

“On arrival, firefighters found a single car on the central reservation – they made the scene safe whilst awaiting our police colleagues.

“Our stop was in at 9.31pm.”

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We were called at around 9pm on Monday 13 May 2024 to a report of a single vehicle collision in Wallisdown Road in Poole.

“Officers attended. Two occupants of the vehicle were taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

“Local authority made aware due to debris on the road.

“Vehicle recovered and road cleared at around 11.30pm.”
