BOSCOMBE residents have been invited to the town’s quarterly forum meeting.

Comprehensive updates will be given on the Towns Fund plan at the AECC University in Parkwood Road on Thursday, April 18 from 6.30pm.

This will include a presentation from Martha Covell, Towns Fund programme manager.

As well as this, the meeting will see a presentation from BCP Council chief executive Graham Farrant and Wendy Lane on the new BCP local plan.

There will also be an update on the Pokesdown Train Station, the skills hub, the Boscombe and Pokesdown neighbourhood plan and the possibility of a merger between Boscombe Forum and Pokesdown Forum.

Harry Seccombe, chair of Boscombe Forum, said: “We are pleased to have insight into the BCP local plan which is out for public consultation and is very important in defining the vision and framework for the development of the entire area.

“We also have a presentation about the Towns Fund, answering people questions about the Royal Arcade, the WH Smith building and the new community and arts building for Boscombe as well as several other important local matters.

“Please come down and get involved in your local community."
