A BOURNEMOUTH petrol station was temporarily closed today after a crash involving a fuel ventilation pipe.
A car had collided with a fuel ventilation pipe, prompting an emergency response from the fire service to make the scene safe.
One ambulance and an operational officer vehicle along with a police car were also at the scene.
The incident occurred around 9am this morning on Castle Lane West at the Asda Express petrol station.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 10.15am of a single vehicle collision at a petrol station in Castle Lane West in Bournemouth
"Officers attended with fire and ambulance service."
A spokesperson for DWFRS said: "We were called at 9.58am today with reports of a single-vehicle road traffic collision at the Shell Garage on Castle Lane West.
"One fire engine from Redhill Park was mobilised and on arrival found one car which had collided with a fuel ventilation pipe.
"The driver of the vehicle was left in the care of the ambulance service, and the crew worked on making the scene safe by winching the vehicle off the vent."
