A CAR fire closed the eastbound carriageway of the A31 near Ringwood this morning.
One lane is now reopen but traffic is queueing back to Ashley Heath while the council deals with the fuel spillage.
Emergency services are on the scene and fire crews have extinguished the blaze which is believed to be near the Shell garage at Poulner Hill.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said they were called at 10.45am by Hampshire Police.
Two crews from Ringwood and a crew from Burley were called to deal with the single vehicle incident.
There are major traffic delays in the area as a result.
