EDDIE Howe revealed the identities of a trio of injured players before admitting his frustration at a costly international break.
The Cherries boss disclosed prior to Saturday's 6-1 hammering of Hull City that three players had returned to Vitality Stadium with injuries.
And Howe stated he was concerned about one player in particular, which he revealed to be Lewis Cook following the thumping win over the Tigers.
The former Leeds United midfielder, who Howe had labelled a "very important" member of the Cherries squad, is set to see a specialist after suffering an ankle injury while with England Under-20s.
Cook appeared as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Netherlands and also played 72 minutes of a 3-1 success over Germany. But he was not involved when the Young Lions defeated the United States 2-0 seven days ago.
Winger Max Gradel sustained a hamstring complaint during his stint with the Ivory Coast but is thought to be set for a swift return to fitness.
Brad Smith wore a protective boot while at Vitality Stadium at the weekend, having picked up a foot injury while on duty for Australia.
Reflecting on his sidelined trio, Howe told the Daily Echo: “Lewis ran into a tackle and got his ankle caught in the turf and it was a really nasty-looking twist.
“We are waiting for him to see a specialist to see the exact time the injury will keep him out."
Howe confirmed he feared Cook's injury would be the most long-term of the three before stating: “Brad took a nasty whack on the top of his foot so we’re not sure how long he’s going to be out either.
“Max pulled a hamstring. We don’t think it’s serious but it was still enough to put him out today."
Howe added: “There is always frustration but not labelled at any association, just at the fact we lost three players who, potentially, would have been under consideration to play.
“But that’s part of the game I’m afraid."
There was further concern for Howe after Harry Arter left Vitality Stadium on crutches.
The Republic of Ireland international midfielder played the full 90 minutes against Hull but following the final whistle, appeared to be feeling the effects of a first-half challenge by the Tigers' Robert Snodgrass.
Arter clutched his knee following the late tackle and was subsequently attended to by physio Steve Hard, before completing the rest of the game.
