SPIRITS, ghosts, chilling breezes and things that go bump in the night are being sought by a group of intrepid ghost hunters from Poole.
Medium and clairvoyant Faye Barnes is calling for people to nominate the most haunted place they know for a sponsored "spirit investigation" with her and her regular team.
The 55-year-old, who owns Inner Sanctum on Poole High Street, said she's looking for the biggest challenge of her 30-year ghost-hunting career.
"The creepier the better," she added. "We are looking for somewhere something unexplained has happened, somewhere people stay away from - something very haunted. We want a big challenge."
According to Faye, Dorset is rich with spirit life.
Her most recent investigations include Bournemouth Town Hall, The King Charles on Thames Street - Poole's oldest pub - and an abandoned railway track in Blandford.
They always take place at night - when spirit activity is greatest.
She added: "We'd expect to see orbs - manifestations of spirit forms - appearing and moving across the room, temperature changes, objects moving, shuffling noises."
The team will be equipped with video and tape recorders, temperature monitors and crystals on chains, which can pick up positive or negative energy.
And in the case of unwanted or troublesome ghosts, Faye says she can even clear them with a "blessing". "We can help send them to the other side - to the white light," she added.
Once a site is chosen for this latest challenge, Faye will be raising sponsorship, with all donations going to Julia's House children's hospice.
- Anyone wishing to nominate a location or offer sponsorship should contact Faye on 01202 672 757 or 0796 4742931.
