A CAR burst into flames at Cemetery Junction in Bournemouth this afternoon causing traffic delays in the surrounding area.
Police received a call from Dorset Fire service at 3.52pm and the road was closed from Cemetery Junction to the turning of Charminster Road from 3.59pm to 4.18pm.
A crew from Springbourne extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet but there was extensive fire damage to the vehicle.
A police spokesperson said: “There was no collision so a fault must have occurred whilst driving and caused the car to catch fire.”
