A CHILDREN’S charity is looking for volunteers to help at its fundraising events across Dorset.
Julia’s House children’s hospice, based in Corfe Mullen, is looking for kind-hearted residents from across the county to help on the occasional weekend, or even just for an hour or two of their time.
Volunteers can help in a number of ways to offer their support, including collecting donations in a bucket, serving teas, or manning a stall.
June Maidment, volunteer co-ordinator, said: “Our fundraising team are out and about all over the county attending craft fairs, open gardens, festivals, dog shows, golf days and all sorts.”
She added: “However, they are always in need of extra pairs of hands.
“Volunteering at events is great fun and something different to do with friends or family, and you get to enjoy a day out whilst donating your time.
“We couldn’t exist as a charity without our volunteers.”
