THOUSANDS of people from across Dorset pounded the pavements of Bournemouth seafront to raise money for the British Heart Foundation on Sunday.
From babies to OAPS, there was an event for everyone at the annual Bournemouth Bay Run, which takes in Bournemouth and Boscombe promenades, to get families out and about while raising money for the good cause.

It all started with the 10k run, followed by the 1k Family Fun Run, then the 13.1mile Half-Marathon was launched, rounded off with the 5k for anyone aged 13 and over.
George Hunter, 8, Eddie Hunter, 6, and friend, Juan Mojica, 6, all took part in the 1k family event, after Eddie and George’s grandad, Robert Geneen, 69, had a heart attack 10 years ago.
Robert said: “When I had a heart attack, I was taken to Bournemouth Hospital at first, but they just didn’t have the provision to deal with it, so I was sent to Brighton, but thanks to funding, that has changed.”
Nick Johnstone, from Parkstone, was running as part of Team Daisy for the 10k race, along with Alex Wilson, Klara Tancibudkova, Paul Lewis, and Chris Webster, after losing his daughter, who the team is named after in 2011.
He said: “My daughter, Daisy, was stillborn, so we are running to raise money for SPRING, who support bereaved parents and relatives after the loss of a baby.”
Tristan Hanson, 25, from Kinson, Jim Lovell, 22, and Darryl Harrison, 19, who all work at Poole Stadium, signed up to the 10k event after popular greyhound trainer, Harry Attwater, died on March 8, aged 79.
Darryl said: “We wanted to run for Harry and to make him proud. Our colleague, Jo Knight, took on the half-marathon and between us we have raised over £700.”
