A BUS caught fire in Poole this afternoon resulting in a road being blocked both ways.
Dorset Fire Control deployed two crews to Penn Hill Avenue at 3.53pm after reports that a single-decker bus was ablaze.
A spokesman for the service said the driver of the Yellow Buses vehicle was able to evacuate the passengers before crews from Springbourne and Redhill arrived and extinguished the fire, which is believed to have started in the engine.
She added that nobody was hurt in the incident.
One crew is still at the scene to help with the clear-up of 150 litres of diesel which has spilled onto the road from the bus.
