A VAN was damaged after it caught light in Christchurch on Sunday morning.
Firefighters were called to Barrack Road at 10.20am and on arrival found that the van was well alight.
They put out the flames and said it was believed that a fault in a refrigeration unit on the van's roof was the cause.
The unit itself was destroyed by the fire, while the roof of the van was badly damaged and the rest of the vehicle suffered water damage.
The incident was dealt with by 10.35am.
