Shocked drivers watched as a car burst into flames on the M27 this morning.
Traffic coming from Bournemouth and the New Forest was backed up from J2 onto the A31 after the fire.
Reader Jason Nixon sent us these pictures.
He said: "I was about 20 cars back this morning as a vehicle burst into flames on the M27 near J2. Black smoke was pouring from the car and the flames were about five metres high."
"Two fire engines and many police cars raced down the hard shoulder and the traffic built up behind us."
The M27 reopened at junction two at about 9.30am.
