AN AIR ambulance was sent to Parley Cross after a crash between a motorbike and a van.
Police were called at 8.25am after a motorbike driver and a van collided at New Road, at Parley Cross.
The motorcyclist was taken to Poole Hospital by road ambulance.
The air ambulance had been called, and residents reported seeing the helicopter land in an adjacent field.
It is understood however the driver sustained a fractured leg, and the air ambulance was cancelled.
The bike was recovered from the scene at 10.20am.
It is not yet known if anyone else was injured.
The road was closed at New Road and the traffic lights, and traffic was diverted at the adjacent side road to Longfield Drive.
