A BODY found in Poole is believed to be that of David Horsford, who went missing in April.
At 6.40pm today, Monday, the body of a man was discovered in a hedgerow in Samson Road, not far from Mr Horsford's home.
Dorset Police said that while formal identification is yet to take place, the body is "believed to be that of Mr Horsford".
His family have been informed.
The 67-year-old, a retired electrician, was reported missing from his home on Saturday, April 16.
Officers searched different parts of Poole and the surrounding area in the days after he went missing.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed.
A small cordon was put in place while officers investigated the incident on behalf of the coroner. The cordon has now been lifted.
