Emergency services were called to a van fire on the A338 this evening.
Fire crews were called to the incident, which was on the southbound carriageway of the A338 just before the Blackwater junction, around 6.20pm.
According to a Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman there was a small fire in the engine compartment of the van.
"It was out before the crews arrived at the scene and no action was needed from the fire crews," she added.
One lane has been closed while emergency services deal with the incident and the vehicle is recovered.
