EMERGENCY services were called to a dramatic car fire at Ashley Cross on Saturday night.
Photographer David Burgess, who had been attending a gig at the nearby Bermuda Triangle pub, said: "It was a minor miracle that the adjacent vehicles were not destroyed or house opposite damaged, such was the ferocity of the fire."
Meanwhile, witness Cenk Albayrak-Touye, who contacted the Echo, said the blaze spread to the telephone wire causing sparks.
"All emergency services were present and it was dealt with," he added. "Me and my friends had a look at the car and it was a very expensive BMW, completely gutted and destroyed inside - yet for the most part the exterior was fine."
A Dorset Police spokesman said the fire was believed to have started due to an electrical fault with the vehicle.
