A MYSTERY vigilante has been making their point about Brexit and Theresa May’s leadership – by re-arranging a supermarket newsstand.
Daily Echo business editor Darren Slade snapped this picture, showing copies of the pro-Remain paper the New European hiding many of the Eurosceptic national papers.
One twitter user called it an act of “Remainer revenge”.
It was the second evening running that the front page – which shows the words “Bloody idiot” scrawled onto the door of Downing Street – had been promoted to take pride of place at Waitrose in Parkstone.
The picture of the newsstand was widely shared on Twitter, first of all by the New European’s editor Matt Kelly, who tweeted: “Stop this!*”, adding: “*Not really.”

The New European itself tweeted: “Once again we remind readers that we cannot condone this behaviour… but if you ‘happen’ to come across it, please tweet us a picture.”
As of Wednesday morning, Darren’s original tweet had recorded more than 4,000 “engagements”, with 187 likes and 59 retweets.
Dylan James wrote: “I always knew the revolution would start at Waitrose.”
Pavan Kaur tweeted: “Remainer Revenge continues – fabulous!” John Pearce said: “So British.”
Businesswoman Jo wrote: “Calling all paper re-arrangers! A Small but effective protest, let’s go.”
Tracy Masters said: “I cover up the Sun with a local paper each time I go in”, while Angella Stillwell wrote: “I’ve taken to obscuring the Daily Wail”.
But Martin Wiesner tweeted: “This is the gateway behaviour to book burning. Desist at once.”
The New European was launched last summer as “the new pop-up paper for the 48 per cent”. It was initially slated to run for only four weekly issues but has been going for 11 months.
