A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital following a crash after suffering a medical episode.
Police were called to Howeth Road in the East Howe area of Bournemouth at 10.25am on Friday.
It was reported that the crash involved a single vehicle which had collided with a wall.
The vehicle also collided with a lamppost.
The ambulance service also attended along with the fire service who were not required as the woman was already out of the vehicle by the time they arrived.
Dorset Police said the woman had been airlifted to Southampton Hospital.
South Western Ambulance Service said they were called at 10.35am.
A spokesperson said: "We responded with various resources including a land ambulance and an air ambulance. Our crews treated a female patient at the scene, and conveyed her to hospital by air ambulance for further care."
They said that the woman's injuries were thought to be serious at the time they treated her.
