A ROAD in Sherborne is closed following a fire in a manhole outside a shop.
Firefighters were called to Cheap Street at 7.23am this morning.
Crews from Sherborne and Yeovil attended.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire has not spread to the shop.
The crew from Yeovil has now left the scene but firefighters from Sherborne remain on site to support electrical engineers who have been isolating the supply and are carry out further investigations.
Dorset Police said they were called at 7.27am by the fire service.
Officers have been assisting the fire service with road closures.
