A MAN’S body was found on a cliff in Christchurch this morning.
Officers were called to Avon Beach at 9.23am on Friday, November 18.
The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
Police cordoned off a stretch of beach at Steamer Point along with part of the nature reserve following the discovery.
It is now reported the cordon was removed just after 12pm.
His family has been informed and the coroner notified.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police received a report at 9.23am on Friday 18 November 2022 of a body of a man on a cliff at Avon Beach in Mudeford, Christchurch.
“Officers are in attendance with the ambulance service and HM Coastguard.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and HM Coroner has been notified.
“His family has also been informed.”
Witnesses reported seeing multiple police, ambulance and the coastguard on the scene this morning.
