A MAN’S body has been found around a public suspension bridge in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police received a report at 6.39am on Tuesday, April 25, that the body of a man in his 20s had been located at Alum Chine in West Overcliff Drive.
Officers have closed off the bridge entirely, and cordons have also been put in place on the two footpaths below the bridge.
Crime scene investigators from South West Police Forensics have also attended the scene.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended and a cordon was put in place. Following enquiries, the death is not being treated as suspicious. HM Coroner has been notified and enquiries will continue on their behalf.

“The man’s family has been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
Nearby resident Amanda Saunders said: “Our thoughts are with the family. Whatever has happened it’s a tragedy.”
Alan Heasman, who lives next to the bridge, told the Echo: “There were cars here from about 7am. There have been two police cars here continuously since. Police rang my bell at about 8am to see if I had CCTV.”
