THE fire service and the police were called to a two-vehicle fire in Poole.
Shortly after 12.40pm, Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Sandbanks Road, to reports of a car on fire.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found two cars alight.
Using breathing apparatus, two firefighters tackled the blaze using hose reel jets. Police were called five minutes after the fire service to assist in the incident, and officers attended.
The fire was extinguished at 1.23pm, at which point the incident was handed over to the police.
At this stage, the cause of the fire is not clear, but the police have indicated that there is “nothing to indicate any suspicious circumstances at this time”.
The vehicles have been recovered from the scene.
