THE organisers of Bournemouth Air Festival will make changes ‘if required’ should the Boscombe murder investigation continue into the festival.
BCP Council confirmed the organisers of the festival are continuing to liaise with Dorset Police regarding the investigation, which began on Saturday, August 26, when ‘partial human remains’ were found.
The cordon is in the area of Boscombe Cliff Gardens and the Manor Steps zig zag, an important route down onto the beach from the cliffs in Boscombe.
In a statement released on Tuesday, August 29, the county force suggested the cordon would be in place for ‘some days’ due to the ‘very challenging’ terrain in the area.
As the investigation enters its fifth day, officers are yet to confirm the identity of the victim or their gender.
It added a ‘vast number’ of enquiries are being made and asked anyone with any information to come forward.
Jon Weaver, director of Bournemouth Air Festival said: “While this is away from the main festival site, we will continue to liaise with Dorset Police as their investigation continues. Should it be required, we will make any minor changes to our organisational arrangements.”
The Air Festival begins tomorrow, Thursday, August 31.
