A BIN lorry caught fire while workers were doing their rounds in Bournemouth this morning.
The vehicle and bin collection workers halted services at around 8.30am when the lorry suddenly caught fire.
Photographs from a witness show smoke engulfing the lorry, while firefighters dose the flames with a hose.
Crews from Springbourne and Redhill Park fire stations were scrambled to help.

They later escorted the lorry to its depot where the remaining rubbish was dumped and the fire could be fully extinguished.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to Rutland Road, Bournemouth at 8.33am for a fire involving a refuse lorry.
“Two crews attended, from Springbourne and Redhill Park, and two breathing apparatus wearers used two hose reel jets to bring the fire under control.
“The crews then escorted the lorry under blue lights to its depot, where the contents were emptied out and the fire fully extinguished using a main jet and a hose reel jet. Our stop was at 10.58am.”
