A MAN has been found dead near the beach.
The body of Oliver Roberts, who was reported missing on the morning of Saturday, January 27, was found in the area of Middle Chine in Westbourne at around 2.40pm on Sunday, January 28.
He was 29 years old.
While the body has not yet been formally identified, it is believed to be Oliver and his family has been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and HM Coroner has been notified.
Chief inspector Danny Tamblyn, of Dorset Police, said: “Our thoughts are very much with the family and loved ones of Oliver Roberts at this extremely difficult time.
“I would like to thank all those involved in the search efforts to locate Oliver, including volunteers from Dorset Search and Rescue (DorSAR).”
