TRAFFIC lights have been damaged in a two-car crash in Poole.
Police were called to the crash in Alder Road at its junction with Yarmouth Road at 9.03am on Monday.
Minor injuries were reported.
A set of traffic lights was also damaged in the crash and BCP Council were informed.
The traffic lights remain out of action, with motorists reporting ‘traffic chaos’ in the area.
A spokesperson for BCP Council said: “A traffic signal pole on Alder Road at the junction with Yarmouth Road has been damaged in a road traffic collision.
“Our contractors are working to make the area safe by removing the signal heads and pole. They will return to install upgraded equipment as soon as it is possible.
“The rest of the signals are operating normally, but motorists and pedestrians should exercise caution around the junction while works are ongoing.”
