A road in rural Dorset is to be temporarily closed to allow resurfacing works to be carried out.

The unnamed lane in Tarrant Rushton will be shut from June 4 to June 17 to allow Dorset Council to do the resurfacing works.

The dates are a window of opportunity and the road may not be closed for the whole duration stated above and the works are weather dependant.

The temporary closure order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
