FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a truck fire in Poole.
Holes Bay Road in Poole was closed while firefighters worked to extinguish a truck that caught alight.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service's spokeswoman said a crew from Poole fire station were called to extinguish the vehicle, which was "well alight" and engulfed in flames.
She said: "We were called to Holes Bay Road, Poole at 2.03pm on October 30, to a flatbed truck well alight.”
"One crew from Poole attended the scene, with two breathing apparatus wearers using two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
"The police were also in attendance and closed the northbound carriageway."
Dorset police attended to assist with road closures between the Asda superstore, West Quay Road and the Holes Bay roundabout.
The fire was quickly extinguished and the road was reopen at 2.35pm.
