A LETHAL drug, a small dose of which could kill a person, has been stolen from a New Forest vet.

Police are urging the public to contact them if they find or are offered any unknown medicines.

The wall safe, stolen late on Saturday or in the early hours of Sunday, from Bransgore Vets contained a 100ml bottle of pentobarbitone.

Used to put animals to sleep, police said a 70-100ml dose injected into a vein was capable of killing a human.
