THREE teenagers have appeared in court accused of the murder of Big Issue seller Ralph Millward.
The trio, two aged 16 and one aged 14, spoke only to confirm their names and addresses at the hearing at Poole Youth Court on Monday (May 11) The three, all from Poole, were remanded in custody.
The court was told that the three boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged with the murder of Mr Millward, 41.
Mr Millward’s body was discovered at around 7am on Friday by outreach workers outside the Marks and Spencer supermarket in Westbourne.
He had multiple injuries to his head and chest and had 10 broken ribs.
Over the weekend tributes poured in for Mr Millward, with the Daily Echo’s online book of condolence swamped with messages.
All spoke fondly of the Big Issue seller, who was well known in Westbourne.
The three boys will next appear at Poole Youth Court next Monday, May 18.
