A DISABLED skier from Blandford is representing Great Britain in the Paralympic Games.
Russell Docker, 42, who was paralysed from the waist down in a skiing accident in France 15 years ago, will compete in Vancouver in five events using a “mono-ski”.
Russell, who trains at the Fitness First gym in Poole, is in the downhill, Super G, Super Combined, Slalom and the Giant Slalom events.
“I have never been better prepared,’’ said Russell, who said regular sessions with personal trainer Simon Fastnedge have helped him to increase his upper body strength.
The Paralympic Games take place in Canada from March 13 to 21.
