MYSTERIOUS lights in the sky over Bournemouth on Saturday have left some residents baffled.
A couple arriving home at, Mudeford, Christchurch on Saturday emailed the Echo to ask if anyone else had seen them.
They said: "Does anyone know what the orange lights were in the night sky on Saturday?
"My husband and I were returning home and saw a spherical bright orange light - at first we thought it could be a fireball but then it was followed by three others that we saw.
"They were about a minute apart, same flight path and no noise. We are mystified - were they chinese lanterns (think these would have had different flight paths) or maybe space debris (again unlikely to have same flight path) or some military night flying (but why no noise).
"They appeared over the trees - roughly from Isle of Wight direction and headed towards Hurn airport way. I tried to take a picture but in my haste did not turn to night setting so just go a blank black photo!
"The first intrigued us, the second confused us, the third bewildered us and the fourth freaked me out. "
So over to you - anyone else see them or have a theory?
