POLICE have arrested a man over an attack on a retired couple while they were out walking their pet dog.
The 38-year-old from Poole has been released on police bail until February while their enquiries into the incident continue.
Earlier this month the Echo covered the story and printed a photo of a man police wanted to speak to following the alleged attack on the pensioners.
Officers said the pair had been walking their terrier in Pocket Park in Broadstone on Thursday, December 2, when another dog – thought to be a Staffordshire bull terrier – attacked.
They were said then to have been attacked by the dog’s owner while they tried to protect their pet.
A spokesman for Dorset Police thanked the public for their help.
