A DOUBLE-decker bus was evacuated in Bournemouth this afternoon after a fire broke out in the engine compartment.
Firefighters from Red Hill and Westbourne were scrambled to Montgomery Avenue in West Howe after the alarm was raised at 12.36pm.
A spokeswoman from the fire service said the bus was evacuated and no one was injured.
The crews extinguished the fire, which is believed to have been started by a fault in the engine.
