CHERRIES winger Mohamed Coulibaly looks set to join League One outfit Port Vale ahead of today’s emergency loan deadline.
Coulibaly has not featured for Eddie Howe’s team this season and spent the first three months of the campaign on loan at Coventry City.
He cut short his temporary stay with the Sky Blues in November and returned to Dean Court where he has been turning out for the club’s development squad.
Coulibaly made six appearances for Coventry, the last being his only start in League One during a 3-1 defeat by leaders Bristol City in October.
The 26-year-old, who joined Cherries from Swiss giants Grasshoppers in July 2013, made eight league and cup appearances for the Dorset club in his first season.
But Senegal-born Coulibaly, who also holds a French passport, endured an injury-ravaged first 12 months with Cherries and was plagued by Achilles and calf problems.
Out of contract in the summer, Coulibaly could be involved for Port Vale when they travel to Leyton Orient on Saturday and is likely to remain at Vale Park for the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, midfielder Josh Carmichael is expected to complete a deadline-day loan move to Conference South high-fliers Havant & Waterlooville who are managed by ex-Cherries boss Lee Bradbury.
