REPORTED Cherries transfer target Glenn Murray moved to quash speculation about his future at Crystal Palace over the weekend.

The 31-year-old frontman is rumoured to be on Cherries boss Eddie Howe's shopping list but started for the Eagles in Saturday's Premier League opener at Norwich City.

Asked if he would be staying at Selhurst Park, Murray told the Croydon Advertiser: "Yes, definitely. I have heard nothing different, so I'm happy at the club."

Meanwhile, Cherries are understood to have had a £500,000 bid accepted for 18-year-old Barnsley defender Mason Holgate. He played 22 times for the League One Tykes last season.
