HAMWORTHY United boss Shane Traynor felt the referee had "lost control" of the Hammers' clash against Horndean.
Despite taking an early 2-0 lead, Hammers lost 6-2 in a Sydenhams Wessex Premier clash in which both sides ended with 10 men.
Quick-fire goals from Asa Phillips and Josh Pickering put Hamworthy in control inside the opening 11 minutes.
Sam Smart pulled one back nine minutes after the break before Horndean's Ian Humble was dismissed just shy of the hour.
However, a Lee Tigwell spot-kick levelled matters following a foul by Dan Haysom.
Moments later, another penalty was awarded, this time against Greg Horlock, who was promptly red-carded.
Tigwell missed but Jack Maloney fired home the rebound and goals from Smart and Rob Tambling (2) ensured an emphatic victory for the hosts.
Traynor told the Daily Echo: "I don't normally moan about referees but he lost control of the game. Even their manager and secretary said to me afterwards that they had never seen anything like it.
"I'm not slating him because in the first half I thought he was very good.
"After their sending-off, all their players started moaning at him really badly. I think he gave them their first penalty to even it up.
"I think he knew he had made a mistake with their red card, because that wasn't even a red card. It was certainly a yellow but not a red.
"We did feel quite hard done by because in the first half we were fantastic. We played them off the park and could have been four up."
Hammers: Benfield, Rose, Haysom, Walker, Horlock, Pickering, Gale, B Satterley (Kay, 30), Phillips, J Satterley, White. Unused sub: Traynor.
Poppies lost 2-0 at AFC Portchester despite an early penalty save by Eliot Broome.
The keeper denied the hosts from 12 yards but subsequent efforts from Curtis Robbins and Jason Parish saw Portchester across the line.
An early Nic Magee goal gave Lymington Town a 1-0 win at home to Brockenhurst on Monday.
