ZACH Cook has joined brother Ben in signing up for another season at Poole Pirates.
Ben Cook had already been announced as next year’s captain, and his younger brother Zach will also again be part of the team in 2024.
It will be Zach Cook’s third full season as a Pirate, signed for the 2022 campaign having helped Poole win trophies as a guest at the end of the previous year.
The 24-year-old has risen up from reserve into the main body of the team and produced a strong partnership with his brother for Pirates last season.

Discussing the decision to get Zach back again for 2024, promoter Danny Ford said: “I am guessing this won't come as much of a surprise to our fans as Zach has made a big impact on the club since we signed him fully in 2022.
“His inclusion in the side certainly gives us possibly one of the strongest top fours in the division.
“His performances in what is described as the 'engine room' of the side have been immense.
“I really believe he can improve beyond that and push for a heat leader berth."
Zach Cook is signed on a 6.22 average, with Richard Lawson, Tom Brennan and Sam Hagon also already announced.
It leaves Pirates with 6.20 points to play with for their final two additions.
