POOLE boss Tom Killick has bolstered his defensive resources with the signing of Yeovil teenager Rhys Baggridge – but has missed out on former Cherries midfielder James Coutts.
Baggridge, 19, has joined the Dolphins on a month’s loan and could make his debut in their Southern League clash with Tiv-erton at Tatnam tomorrow (3pm).
However, Killick’s attempts to persuade Coutts to drop down to Division One South & West failed when the AFC Totton man opted instead for a loan move to his former club Weymouth.
Killick said: “Rhys is a first-year pro at Yeovil and comes highly recommended. They feel he will do well for us.
“I also felt James Coutts would have done us a lot of good. He is an experienced and proven player and was close to coming but elected to play at a higher level.”
Dan Cann and Taffy Richardson are both suspended against Tivvy, while Claudio Herbert is unavailable. Baggridge, Pete Smith and Jimmy Glass are added to the Dolphins squad.
