HANS Andersen won the battle of the Danish Pirates as his Polish club kicked off their second-tier campaign on Sunday.
Andersen bagged seven points in Lodz's 50-40 victory over Krakow, with compatriot Nicolai Klindt scoring five paid six for the visitors.
Elsewhere, Krzysztof Kasprzak managed just five points in a fearsomely tough Edward Jancarz Memorial at Gorzow.
That total was not enough to secure the Poole number one a semi-final spot at his home track, with the event won by Patryk Dudek.
Kasprzak could ride for Gorzow in their challenge meeting against Leszno this afternoon.
Jack Holder racked up nine paid 10 for Peterborough in their 49-39 triumph over Redcar in the SGB Championship Knockout Cup.
There was a modest four paid five return for Lewis Kerr in Scunthorpe's 47-43 home win over Glasgow in the Championship.
