A BUS driver is being hailed for his act of kindness after letting a young boy take a spin in the driver's seat.
Leo, a 21-month-old boy, was treated to a ride in the front seat of a Morebus vehicle by a generous bus driver during a routine stop.
Melissa Simpson, Leo’s Mum, said: “He loved it.
“Leo’s 21 months old and loves buses - will wave at them as they go by. He can’t say ‘bus’ yet so calls them ‘buff’ which is adorable.
“His love for them started when he saw a red bus while on FaceTime with my sister, his auntie, who lives in London.
“It was so kind of Andrew, the bus driver.
“Leo and I were looking at the letters on the side of the bus ‘m-o-r-e’ when Andrew invited Leo to sit in the driver's seat.
“You truly made both of our days.”
Mike Freeborn, Morebus area operations manager, said: “Our colleague, Andy, was only too pleased to oblige when a very young potential bus driver was keen to sit in the driving seat of his route 5 bus this morning.
“We hope this young bus enthusiast will consider a career with Morebus at some point in the future.”
