WORKS to repair the pontoon at Mudeford Sandbank are due to begin Monday.
The pontoon at the harbourside beach of Mudeford Sandbank suffered ‘significant damage’ during Storm Ciara.
It has meant the Mudeford Ferry, which operates between Mudeford Quay and Mudeford Sandbank, has been out of action since November last year.
On Saturday, Mudeford Ferry operators posted on social media: “A local notice to mariners has been issued advising works to begin on the Mudeford Beach Pontoon week commencing 20th May 2024.”
BCP Council anticipates Mudeford Ferry services will resume in June, if “all goes according to plan”.
