HATCH POND ROAD (EASTBOUND LANE CLOSURE AND FOOTWAY CLOSURE) THE POOLE (HATCH POND ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2015
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that traffic on the said Road should be prohibited and has made an Order in exercise of its powers under Section 5, 14(1), 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers as detailed above.
The effect of this Order is that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed eastbound along Hatch Pond Road to its junction with Nuffield Road for a distance of approx. 520m. (from the entrance of Lidl Supermarket to the junction with Nuffield Road). The footway on the southern side will also be closed.
The lane closure and footway closure is required from Monday 9 November 2015 until Friday 18 December 2015.
Residents and Businesses of the closed section of road will be informed by letter nearer the time of the proposed works. Emergency Services will be given precise details of the closure dates in due course by the Contractor.
Emergency vehicles will be accommodated on a one-off basis.
The proposed closure is required for water mains replacement
The proposed Order is effective from Monday 9 November until Friday 18 December 2015. The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required.
If the works are not completed within the statutory period the Order may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Order will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £400.
