ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 | TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE FOREST ROAD THE POOLE (FOREST ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2015 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that traffic on the said Road should be prohibited and intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order in exercise of its powers under Section 5, 14(1), 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers as detailed above, the effect of this Order is that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed along that part of Forest Road affected by the works (outside No. 25 between its junctions with Motcombe Road). Frontagers and Emergency Services will be given precise details of the closure dates in due course by the Contractor. There will be access for residents where practicable. A diversion will be signed via Motcombe Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated on a one-off basis. The closure is required for a foul sewer connection. The proposed Order is effective between Tuesday 24 November 2015 and Tuesday 8 December 2015. The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required.
If the works are not completed within the statutory
period the Order may be extended with the approval of
the Secretary of State for Transport
Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in
contravention of the Order will be liable on summary
conviction to a fine not exceeding £400.
