Nominate now for the Daily Echo School Awards 2022

In recognition of all the hard work that has taken place in the education sector over the last few years, we are going to be holding the Daily Echo School Awards in 2022, in association with United Taxis.

The last time we held these awards was in 2017, and it was felt the right time to honour the teaching profession again.

There were many organisations who found themselves on the front line during the COVID pandemic none more so that local schools. Education was turned on its head almost overnight as schools and colleges adjusted to a mix of in-school and virtual learning.

These awards will be a great opportunity to acknowledge the incredible work done by these unsung heroes who worked (and continue to work) tirelessly to ensure our children receive the education they deserve.

We are asking Daily Echo readers to nominate in a total of 11 categories as we celebrate all the good work taking place in the education sector across the conurbation.

There is simply no better time to acknowledge the incredible work done by our teachers, teaching assistants, school leaders and all the support staff, particularly after the challenges brought about by the pandemic. Many of those working in schools, nurseries and colleges had to adapt to new ways of working overnight, ensuring that our young people receive the best education.

Closing date for nominations – Wednesday 9th March 2022

Those shortlisted for an award will be featured in a shortlist supplement in the Daily Echo on 21st March, with the winners showcased in a feature on 31st March. There will also be a winners video to share with our readers once the final results have been announced.
