RAPPER Plan B has been a busy boy of late. He recently co-starred with Ray Winstone in the big-screen remake of The Sweeney and last year dominated the charts with Ill Manors, the soundtrack to the gritty film of the same name which he directed.
Next week the hardworking 28-year-old brings his tour to the BIC on Thursday night. Over the past few months, Plan B, whose real name is Ben Drew, has barely stopped.
The fruits of his labour were rewarded last year with a nomination for the Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize. The nomination of Ill Manors makes him the first artist to make the list for a soundtrack album.
The singer is also currently in the running for a Brit Award this year for best album. As a vocalist, Plan B is known for his soulful songs and alternating between singing and rapping.
In 2009, his second album The Defamation Of Strickland Banks hit the number one spot twice. The sold-out Bournemouth show should see material from his two studio albums and the soundtrack Ill Manors.
