A TRIBUTE to the music of The Carpenters will be staged at the Lighthouse next month.
Rainy Days & Mondays: The Carpenters Greatest Hits Live!, comes to the venue on June 7 as part of its current tour.
The show features the hits of Karen and brother Richard.
Between 1970 and 1984, the Grammy Award-winning duo had 10 gold singles, nine gold albums, one multi-platinum album and 17 singles in the Billboard Top 20, 12 in the Top 10, three number ones and six songs at number two.
Karen died, aged 32, on February 4, 1983, from a cardiac arrest caused by the strain that anorexia had put on her heart.
Now, Phil Aldridge and Claire Furley, left, have recreated that sound as well as the atmosphere so badly missed by millions of Carpenters fans.
Featuring a full band and a fan-tastic video presentation, Rainy Days & Mondays promises to be an unforgettable night of some of the best, most timeless music of the 70s.
